How many goals would Germany have scored on that cat swatting aimlessly at flies called the Argentine goaltender (Romero)? Tip....first calculate the time. T=time. That is given.
Best answer as always to the one who I agree with the most.

If these two start or even play, the answer is obvious--Argentina will overwhelm us and practically make Mexico dance to a tango. If Vela recovers I hope he starts along with Chicharito Hernandez. Franco is already throwing in the towel and saying Mexico can't stop Messi. Franco has no business playing if that is his opinion. Guardado should also start to give Mexico speed and penetration and test the untested Argentine defense since they don't defend at all. If these players don't play, then Argentina will make Mexico dance to a tango all day long.
Here's my lineup
GK: Oscar Perez--you know Aguirre's dumbass will play him
Defense: Salcido, Massa Rodriguez, Moreno, Osorio
Midfield: Juarez, Marquez, Guardado
Forwards: Dos Santos,Chicharito, Vela/Barrera

It's very hard to describe. It's pretty popular around now. It sounds like a french-like song. But it doesn't have much lyrics and it sounds kind of like a song youd dance in the argentine tango. It's a pretty serious romantic song with a nice beat. Uggh it's so frustrating. Any help is appreciated :D Thanks!
Ok it is VERY similar to that "Santa Maria" song by Go Tan. But that's just not it! Very close though!

I am a university student and I think it would be fun to take dance lessons for exercise and just for a study break! I don't know which style to pick or how to go about doing it though. I guess I would have to take lessons.
At first I wanted to try the argentine tango but then again swing dancing, particularily the lindy hop, looks like so much fun!!! I can't decide between the two. Also are classes for these two dance types hard to come by?

Im looking for songs by Christian artists that you could do the following dances to:
Foxtrot
Waltz
Cha-Cha
Rhumba
Swing
Jive
Argentine Tango
Samba
Salsa
Shag
Yeah, prob. not the tango, but I think that you could do VERY tasteful versions of the others.
Not just hymns, Anything by a Christian artist...

I am just a little confused. After they all repeat their Argentine tangos tomorrow (btw it is hilarious that they all picked that one as their favorite dance of the season!) how is one them eliminated? And when do the voters come in?

It's been a guilty pleasure this year for me.
I want it to be Erin and Maks. I think they are ADORABLE together
and I think Erin has been growing A LOT in the past couple weeks (btw she
was totally robbed during her Argentine Tango should have been a 30!)
Anyway, I think that having Nicole on the show is cheating. It is her JOB to learn choreography!
I'm not saying learning something like the foxtrot isn't still challenging but I think it would be a lot harder if she was not a pussycat doll (whatever is left of them.)
Who do you want to win:
In case you don't know here is who is left:
Nicole & Derek
Erin & Maks
Chad & Cheryl
Evan & Anna (who has a little bit of an advantage too because of the skating thing but not like Nicole)
Who is your pick?
Just want to add please no comments attacking me because I am opinionated about Nicole and Evan, you can disagree but I don't want to deal with idiots who don't know how to have a civilized conversation.

I'm writing a paper for my world music class on the Tango and Argentina. One of the requirements for the paper is to interview someone who knows something about the topic. I found a native of Argentina to interview, however, I really didn't get as much out of it as I was hoping. If you're from Argentina and/or you dance the Tango (or play the music), maybe you could help me out by answering some of the questions. The more detailed the answer, the better. Thanks in advance.
PS-please excuse the wording of my thesis, it's the way the professor wants it. I would have written it differently.
Thesis
Although the Argentine Tango is considered by many to be nothing more than a vulgar dance showcasing male dominance, in this paper I will show that the Tango is, in fact, the antithesis of “machismo” and that it is much more than a dance with incidental music accompanying it. Most importantly, I will disprove some of the most common misconceptions about Tango music and Argentine culture.
1)Do you agree with my thesis? Why or why not?
2)What can you tell me about the history and origin of the Tango (both the music and the dance)?
3)What are the most common misconceptions about the Tango? What are some stereotypes that you feel are wrong?
4)What is your view of the male and female roles in the Tango? Do you think people judge the Tango too quickly, based on what they see in the dance?
5)What is the role of the man? What is the role of the woman?
6)Where in Argentina were you born? What was it like growing up there? When did you move to the United States?
7)What was your first exposure to Tango music?
8)Did you learn Tango music from your parents and grandparents? Where did they learn it? Are they amateurs or professionals?
9)Did/does anyone in your family dance the Tango, or do they only play the music?
10)Did you play or sing Tango music as a child; do you still play/sing it now?
11)Do you feel that Tango music was a large part of your childhood and that it was a huge part of the culture in Argentina?
12)Can you tell me about the lyrics of the Tango songs you used to sing as a child?
13)Was there ever controversy surrounding Tango lyrics?
14)Is there a particular meter that is used for Tango music?
15)What instruments do you typically find in a Tango ensemble?
16)Did you study Tango music at all?
17)Do you find that mostly native Argentineans play Tango music, or do others play it as well?
18)Were you more exposed to the music of the Tango, or to the dance itself?
19)How does Tango fit into the culture of Buenos Aires?
20)Denniston mentions in her book The Meaning of the Tango that the younger generations dance the Tango differently than the older people because of a gap of more than two decades where no one learned the Tango, thus changing the way people learned it afterwards. Do you agree with her? Do you think this is a good thing or a bad thing? Do you think this change in the dance style has contributed to a negative view of the Tango from outsiders?
21)“The Tango had begun in the middle of the nineteenth century, mixing elements of music and dance brought to Argentina by the many small immigrant communities. It was one of the first dances to use the shocking new hold, popularized by the Viennese Waltz, in which a man and a woman stood in front of each other and put their arms around each other. A true street dance, it was not created by dancers and taught to people, as so many European dances have been. It was thrown together by people who might not have shared a common verbal language, but who wanted to move together to the pretty new music being made around them, and who were searching for a moment of joy in their often hard lives.” (14)
Is Tango (both the music and the dance) its own language? How so? Do you believe it brought immigrants together, who didn’t speak each other’s language?
22)What does Tango music symbolize?
23) Is there anything you can tell me that might be good to include in my paper?
If you had actually read the beginning of the question, you would know that I don't expect anyone to do the paper for me. I'm perfectly capable of writing it myself. I'm simply asking that anyone who knows about the Tango answer some questions-not all of them. I don't expect anyone to take time out of their day to answer ALL the questions. And if you don't want to answer a question, next time, don't reply, rather than wasting someone's time by having to read your completely useless response.

I'm looking for Argentine Tango instrumental music such as Assassin's Tango from Mr and Mrs Smith. Does anybody know of some good songs?
Pytanie #22:
I'm thinking of studying abroad to either Buenos Aires or Rio de Janeiro for one semester. Here's my reasoning for both cities... BA: First and foremost, I'm a Spanish major, so going here would allow me to take more of my required classes. Also, Buenos Aires seems like a gorgeous city with a relatively laidback atmosphere (for an urban setting, at least). RIO: However, I am much more interested in Brazilian history and culture than I am Argentinean. Also, I love learning new languages, so I think it would be really fun (and pretty easy for someone familiar with Spanish) to learn Portuguese. And of course the biggest plus for Rio is its SPECTACULAR natural beauty!
What do you all think? I'll tell you a little bit about me so that you can hopefully tell me which city you think is the best fit. I absolutely love beach culture and hanging out in and near the ocean, so that's a plus for both cities. I'm also into culture, like theater, dance, music, art. I love being active, so I would definitely participate in lots of sports and dancing and adventure-type activities (i.e. bungee jumping) in the areas nearby. Most of all, I just enjoy learning and experiencing new things! I really, truly appreciate any advice you can share on either or both of the cities.
P.S. I know I said I like to dance, but I'm not really interested in the tango. I know that's so unsophisticated of me! It just seems so slow-paced and compact. So if you were going to list that as a pro for BA...

I'm trying to translate this stanza from an Argentinean tango song called "Malevaje" by Enrique Santos Discepolo. It goes like this:
Decí por Dios que me has dao,
que estoy tan cambiao...
¡no sé más quién soy!
Here's what I've got so far:
"I _____ through God that you have ____ to me,
that I am so _________...
I don't know who I am anymore!"
Basically, I'm tripped up over the words "decí," "dao," and "cambiao." Does anybody know what these words mean or even what language they come from??? It doesn't look like Spanish, more like Portuguese or something... Or is this like some kind of regional dialect of Spanish in Argentina?

Where would you most likely want to travel to between both countries? I hail from Ireland and have recently been to both nations and I have traveled all across this planet and although I admired Chinese culture and the beauty of the country in general (it really has changed a lot)
I would have to pick Argentina. Never have I seen such a culture so passionate. The tango filled streets and the notorious openness of the Argentines themselves made my experience, so great. What I saw and heard from many Argentines is that it has the most natural resources of any other country in the world being that they have alltopographic features available from deserts to mountains, oceans to the Arctic, tropics to etc.It is a shame that the government there does not know how to manage anything because Argentina has so much potential with its meat industry (meat is world renowned alone) they can easily become a world superpower. I mean I know China is growing rapidly, but the militaristic and industrial might Argentina has really is out of this world. Sadly the government and sad to say a majority of the laziness of its people (the workforce) have stagnated its potential. Any thoughts I would love to hear what you say?

However, my income is limited, as well as my time. Private instruction tends to be more than I could realistically afford while improving at the same time. Are there online resources that would help me learn dance moves in salsa, argentine tango, and any other ballroom and latin dances?
I have basic instruction in most ballroom and latin dances as well as argentine tango. I am looking for moves to be taught.
Many places have social dance nights, but the night-of instructions are usually only the basic step, and most followers don't know the lead step, or are already dancing with someone who already knows how to dance well.

Argentine Tango and Salsa. Perhaps it will give a better perspective of the previous respond I received as to why a lot of men do not like to dance the Argentine Tango
What age group(s) do you think Argentine Tango or Salsa are MOST POPULAR? if not the younger group 18 to 28, why not?
Pytanie #50:
Despite of the popularity of the the Broadway show of Forever Tango. The exhibition of Antonio Banderas, who portrayed Pierre Dulane, of the Argentine Tango in "Take the Lead". The seductive dancing of Jennifer Lopez and Richard Greer in the American version of "Shall We Dance". There are no queries of Argentine Tango..
There has been a number of Salsa Dance Clubs here in Northern California . Again, No queries on Salsa either.
